Shah Rukh met Children with Cancer

Shah Rukh Khan can be a charmer off the screen too.

Especially with little children. That’s what SRK actually did when he fulfilled the wish of a child who was battling cancer.

Khan told the kid that he’s absolutely fit and can win over his illness.

Says Sharmistha Adyanthaya, CEO, Make-A-Wish Foundation (MAWF):
"SRK met him, the child is really responding to the treatment. Another ailing child is coming from The Netherlands to meet SRK in December and he agreed to meet the child."

Datuk Shah Rukh Khan May Watch ´The Merchants of Bollywood´ In Malaysia!

Leading Indian choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant’s semi-autobiographical musical “The Merchants of Bollywood” is set to be staged in Malaysia in July and she hopes to get superstar Shah Rukh Khan to attend the gala.“I am very excited to see it being staged here in Malaysia. Perhaps I can try pulling Shah Rukh from his busy schedule to come and see the show in Kuala Lumpur,” said Vaibhavi, who is here to promote the musical, The Star newspaper said Tuesday.
Highly popular in Malaysia, Khan was made a Datuk, a traditional Malaysian knighthood, earlier this year.

Vaibhavi is one of the most sought after choreographers in Bollywood, working with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh.

The 90-minute musical will feature 48 songs including smash hits from Bollywood movies. The cast of 53 will go through 1,200 costume changes and wear 2,500 pieces of Indian jewellery.

The musical showcases the artistry of classical Indian dance moves fused with modern dance genres, funk, disco and hip-hop.

Vaibhavi said despite discouragement from her family that wanted her to stay away from dancing and cinema, she was carrying on the legacy of her grandfather, the late Hiralal, a top choreographer of the 1960s.

She said “Merchants of Bollywood” was close to her heart as 95 percent of the storyline reflected her life story.

Katrina Kaif Rocks IPL

The IPL mania is coming to an end with the tournament getting into its semi-final and final stage this weekend. While the action may have shifted to South Africa this year, it hasn't dampened the euphoria which the tournament has managed to generate.

Last year, the closing ceremony and finals held at Mumbai's swanky D.Y.Patil stadium saw a breathtaking performance by Salman Khan. This year too Bollywood will make its presence felt at the IPL finals despite the fact that none of 3 teams owned by the three Bollywood stars (SRK, Preity and Shilpa) has made it to the finals.

While Sallu rocked the night last year during the IPL closing ceremony, this year Bollywood divas Katrina Kaif & Shilpa Shetty will be seen setting the stage on fire at Sunday's finals at the Wanderers stadium in Johannesburg. Kats is scheduled to perform a medley of songs (including the Slumdog Millionaire track 'Jai Ho') in a special act choreographed by ace choreographer Shiamak Davar. Speaking about performing in front of a huge cricket crazy audience, Katrina says, "I am very happy to perform at the closing ceremony of the IPL. It will be like walking the dream. It's going to be the most televised show and I am really excited about it."

As for Shilpa, while her team Rajasthan Royals has failed to make it to the Final 4 this time around, the actress would nevertheless still be seen during the closing ceremony performing along side American R& B sensation Akon.

With such a star-studded line-up of performers, not to mention a cracker of a match, this Sunday evening is indeed going to be entertainment galore for all cricket lovers.
